Multi Purpose Duct Tapes
Duct Tape in Space – The first thing that comes to mind is Apollo 13’s journey to the moon and back wherein the oxygen cylinders exploded and suffocated its 3 astronauts. But the astronauts managed a miraculous escape with the help of duct tapes by designing a filtration system that enables breathable air to flow through. Duct Tapes have also found its usage in the Lunar Rover of Apollo 17 as they offer much better protection on its wheels and fenders. Duct Tapes were also used in the Space Shuttle Discovery as ‘gap filler’ materials to prevent heat destruction during the re-entry of space ships to the earth.
